It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.
A couple of weeks ago, I attempted to make a date with one of my coworkers. Unfortunately, she wasn’t receptive to the idea. Come the day of the supposed date (this past Friday), my friend Janeia wanted to know what I was doing, besides going into work into pick up my paycheck… turns out, she wanted to use the free movie passes that her mother gave her before they expired.
Despite my wanting to be alone on that day, I agree to go to the movies with her. Upon arriving at Beltway Plaza, we decided to see “Chronicle” (which was actually good), got something to eat at the buffet in the mall and did a little browsing. Now, I’m not trying to say that I’m attracted to Janeia once again (we’ve dated twice before; it didn’t work out either time), but instead of spending my nights alone as usual (like tonight), I was provided with good and entertaining company.
